Please call in advance to make a reservation. ---------------------------------------------------- Important Information Regarding Upper Respiratory Infections There has been an outbreak in our area of the highly contagious upper respiratory infection, and many of the local vets are reporting numerous cases. It has come to our attention that three dogs that had attended Bandilane Daycare have now been diagnosed with upper respiratory infections. Please know that we are taking additional precautions to minimize the risk to your dog. With vigilance and your cooperation we hope to prevent the further spread. It is imperative if your dog has attended daycare elsewhere, has had a daycare interview at another facility or has been boarded overnight, that you please contact us. Please do not bring your dog to Bandilane for Training, Grooming, or Daycare for at least for 21 days after your dog was at another daycare/boarding facility, including boarding at your veterinarian's. All dogs must have current Bordetella vaccinations on file at Bandilane. Please be sure your dog is up to date and wait at least 4 days after receiving the Bordetella Vaccine before your dog comes to Bandilane. If this is your dog's first Bordetella Vaccine, please wait 14 days for your dog's immune system to respond. We strongly recommend that you do NOT take your dog to dog parks until this outbreak is over. ________________________________________________ Measures We Are Taking.... In order to curtail the spread of upper respiratory infections, we have undertaken additional measures, above and beyond our usual routines. We are cleaning and disinfecting all equipment, walls, floors, mats, buckets, bowls, toys and crates - anything that the dogs may have come in contact with. Because we are no longer using communal drinking buckets for Daycare and to ensure that all dogs get plenty of water throughout the day, our staff provides each dog with his/her own personal water bowl. Dogs are separated from the other dogs in order to drink. The pools have been put away until this outbreak has been contained. We want to be sure that all dogs coming to Bandilane remain healthy and happy! And we thank you, in advance, for your cooperation and apologize for any incovenience our new policies might have caused.
